Fossilized dinosaur eggs

The End of the Cretacious World and its Remains

Dinosaur Egg Fossils by M. Yamamoto

Hundreds of fossilized dinosaur eggs have been found in Mikawa district, Aichi-prefecture, Japan. Although discovery of numerous dinosaur egg fossils has been reported in china, there have been no reports on the discovery of the dinosaur egg fossils in Japan. But I found hundreds of dinosaur egg fossils in a small area of my vicinity.

Probably the world largest dinosaur egg fossil is shown .

Maybe the world smallest dinosaur egg fossils are shown below.

The other egg fossils are shown below. But fossils were found broken. Finding oval shaped egg fossils are rare. They are often deformed and flattened. Eggshells are often partly torn apart. I think these deformities were made before the fossilization process completed. Judging from the shaggy appearance of the edge of the broken eggshells, dinosaur eggshells are not like chicken eggs but more like turtle eggs.

The other eggs were found broken. The whites are broken and eggshells are gone as shown below. Probably these damages were made after the fossilization process completed. Note the yolks are intact.

The last photo shows all the whites are gone. Only the yolks are found intact ,whether they are really yolks or not is not confirmed though.
A piece of ceramic tile is 20 square centimeters.
